[ItsGoal FC] Saved on playoffs

And finally the last match of the season was held, there was a big buzz on this playoff match as most would like to know if Itsagoal FC would stay another season on POR1A or would they be relegated to 2nd League and give a chance to S.D. Estrella Mecánica.
The match started with the POR2A team to attack, but it only lasted the 1st 10 minutes as after that Itsagoal FC took control of the match and the ball possession, soon became clear that it was a matter of time for the goal guys to be saved.

On minute 33 Lindon Meikle receive the ball on the left side just a little in front of the half line and dribbles away till the line of the big area start and does a perfect pass to Jan Koller, the Romanian CF shoots and score the dream goal for the team.
The anxiety grew on Itsagoal FC as S.D. Estrella Mecánica was attacking and the POR1A team didn’t want to lose their win but the half time whistle saved them in time.
we were talking at HT , that we need one more goal to be relaxed. 1-0 was not enought . Anything can happen in FID, ME can work against you and the opposition can come back in the game.”  Revealed the Romanian CF Jan Koller.
On the second half Itsagoal FC gets the ball possession again and on minute 64 they win a penalty kick after a foul against Jan Koller. Stephen Messi is called to the penalty spot and he gives the tranquility that the team needed by scoring the second goal of the team.

The penalty, ufff, it was the worst moment of the match. We sank in this moment, we are so concetrated before this, much for us.” Declared the manager of S.D. Estrella Mecánica
Indeed my goal taken from the penalty spot was the decider, I do feel like a hero a long side with my whole team there all fantastic players.” The goal scorer Stephen Messi proudly said
From this point S.D. Estrella Mecánica has just given up as they created big expectations before the match, at this point the reality called them to earth.
On minute 80 Jimmy Dimmock the youngest player on the team receives a pass from Stephen Messi and dribbles till the penalty spot where he shoots and scores the 3rd goal.
On minute 85 Jimmy Dimmock feeling all fired up for scoring the goal receives a pass on the right side, runs inside the area on the side and assists Jan Koller for the final score, 4-0.
We stuck to our plan very well tonight, we used our advantage out wide to stretch their defence and put in some testing crosses.  I thought we were dominant, they never really gave us any scares at the back and managed only one shot at goal which our keeper saved comfortably.  We could have perhaps scored another goal or two but we had some bad luck with a few shots.  4-0 was probably about the right result though, they didn't make it easy for us, they're a decent team, but we had better skills and execution so we deserved the win.” Analized the English side defender Jimmy Dimmock.
The Itsagoal FC manager on thee press conference said “I expected it be a close game maybe 1-0 or 2-1. Something around that, but after looking into their team and producing scout reports with some help we managed to pinpoint our strengths and excel in that area. Not saying we had small strength's to work with, but we were the better team over all. So a tight affair is what i predicted.”
About the penalty being the relif point for his men, Matty Totterdell considered “Well, in a way yes. Because we were only 1-0 up, but we completely dominated the game and after we got settled i had no worries
After a great start of the season Itsagoal FC never could surprise anymore on the league but they managed to be saved from relagation and the manager learned some lessons and what traps to avoid on the next one “Oh there's definitely a few things we can work on. I think consistency is the key to success and with a consistent defence we can cause a teams a lot of grief and shift that into attack. I have a few other things we'll work on but i won't be sharing that publicly ;)”
Doing playoff to stay on POR1A is nothng that Stephen Messi feels shame of “We’re a new side in POR1A just getting used to the fact there are such talented players in this league most of um are all older than us and more experienced but we never fear we'll always bounce back as hard as we can we're a great club
Matty Totterdell manager of Itsagoal FC conidered Jimmy Dimmock a key player on the match and Jimmy Dimmock said “I'm happy with my performance tonight but mostly that the team got the result.  We were missing our other winger tonight so I felt a bit of pressure to deliver the crosses but I had the measure of my marker tonight so I was able to provide the service our strikers needed.”
The English key player also talked about for him who was the MoM “MoM tonight has to be our tower CF, Koller.  He's had a tough time since joining us halfway through season 10 because his chemistry penalty has made it difficult to win many fights but now that is wearing off he's showing the damage he can cause if we give him the right service. 2 goals tonight as well as other positive contributions make him the performer of the night.
And revealed his plans about the future “My plans are to stay right here and help develop this team into title contenders, we're still young and improving so we should start moving up the table over the next couple of seasons.  At some point I might find my services required in our sister team in England but that's well into the future, I'll be in Portugal for a while yet.”
With all this the key player still wanted to analize the overall preformence of the team in the season “IAG always expected this to be a tough season, we came up from 2B which usually means instant relegation so we were really just aiming to stay up by whatever means necessary so we're happy to achieved that.  The one thing that could have made a difference this season was getting a tower CF much sooner.  In 2B we managed to score plenty of goals without one but it soon became clear that we weren't going to find it so easy in 1A.  It took a while to find the right player but now Koller is here and settled we're hoping to avoid relegation a bit more comfortably next season.”
After getting to stay on POR1A everyone wants to know if the players will stay and fight another season or they will want a new challenge for the next season
i will be around :D i might miss games because of late times , but i will around to score some crackers.” Said the Romanian CF tower
If I had to pick another team to play for in POR1A it would be Mechanical Orange F.C. “ revealed Stephen Messi
The manager Matty Totterdell was quite pleased with overall performance of the team as he left a message on the end of his press conference
If i can i would like to thank everyone who plays for my team. In some eyes we hadn't had a good season, but coming from 2B to 1A is a huge stepping stone and we managed to avoid relegation which was our goal. Next season we will be looking to finish around the 7th place mark and then build on that the following season. Look at our squad, one of the youngest in the league and able to retain our position in 1A. Give us a few seasons and we'll be up there i guarantee it.”
