Round 1 has started and it showed a lot of equilibrium between the teams.
Most of them got the draw, which shows how strong each team is and how leveled they are between each other.
Itsagoal FC is a team promoted to League 1 and they already made some damage as their manager promised before the kick off “We'll be looking to upset some of the teams in this campaign”
FC Estuera x Itsagoal FC
FC Estuera Started strong as it was supposed to as they are the favorite team to win. But the attacks didn’t do any effect so they started to shoot from outside the box, hopping (possibly) to get lucky to score.
On minute 10, Itsagoal FC counter attack and from the sides they see how easy it is. The 1st counter didn’t do anything special aside that, but they reached the box and shot.
On minute 32 they counter attack again and from the sides where is FC Estuera weakness on the match, and this time Ste Ash scores making everyone’s jaw fall.
After this goal, Estuera’s boys started panicking and they continued to shoot as soon as the strikers got the ball, but it sure wasn’t the night for Max Capella as he kept missing his shots as his team mates.
1-0 was the final result and Estuera loses 3 important points.

On the other side, Matty Totterdell manager of Itsagoal FC considered that “exploited their weaknesses and used our strength's very well. But i have to say both sides had some unlucky moments. Us with the dribbling and them with the shooting. But what a way to kickstart life in 1A”

Dont really agree with your article. Sure we had some shots from right outside the box, but panic football and shooting a ball from right outside the box is not the same thing.
ReplyDeleteWhy would you, being a striker, receive a ball just outside the box and still run it in ifyou know that doing a dribble can give them a chance to tackle you? In those cases you have to shoot, and we did that. Our strikers all have great shooting stats, so why wouldnt they shoot in the first place? Apart from that, if there are no passing options left then you have even more reason to shoot it.
I find that interpretation pretty disappointing. I think we did everything we had to and played a very good game on the attacking side. We used possession football when it was due and played fast when we had to.
