Round 16

Round 16 showed us that there are only 2 teams fighting for the title.  Past main contenders are disappointing everyone round by round and it seems that there is no coming back from them.

Sport Funchal e Benfica got slaughtered by Blackout FC™ to 0-9.

Las Putas emerged after a quite season and now they are getting on the target of all teams as they battle away for the title side by side with Mechanical Orange F.C.. On last Sunday Las Putas playing home defeated O Garitinho C.F. by 1-0. O Garitinho C.F. seems to be drowning round by round to the bottom of the standing league. Next they will face FC Estuera, a rising team since SFB got disolved, will they be the team that will mark the turning point or will it be another blow in the head that will K.O O Garitinho C.F.?

Anyway and about the match on Sunday, O Garitinho C.F. had more possession of the ball but Mauro Brihuega soon scored a goal and gave the advantage to Las Putas on minute 35. On half time the away team reorganized the squad with 3 substitutions and  Ladyboy Cat McPenis scored the equalizer. On minute 90 the home team gives the final blow on a fight that looked pretty fair for both interventions and scored the 2^nd goal, this time it was Jaime Ague that scored. With this goal Las Putas killed his opponent and have the same points as the league leader.

FC Portus Cale finally kicked out their frustration after defeating Itsagoal FC by 1-0. FC Portus Cale recently rumor is that the manager Jay Caulls is about to leave the team (probably due to bad results) but this round the team did what they were supposed to do. Itsagoal FC tried to catch their opponent off guarded and stroke a powerful blow but even thou FC Portus Cale are stumbling since the beginning of the season they stood up and faced their opponent with bravery. The history of FC Portus Cale on POR1A is big and to them not getting steady is a shame. 1-0 was the final score and the scorer was Agent Smith on minute 88 of the match.

FC Estuera practiced their scoring abilities and they successfully put 14 in Cravos de Prata’s net.

The Crow Team were doing well on this last rounds and they tried to stop Mechanical Orange F.C. but no luck on that even thou Mechanical Orange F.C. were the favorites to win.

Mechanical Orange F.C. wanted to keep the 1^st place and before the match it was assumed that they would get an easy win. It took 58 minutes since kickoff to finally Ptara Gomes score a goal but even thou it was a late goal everyone expected more to hit the net and that didn’t happened. At least one thing is for sure, Mechanical Orange F.C. got 3 points.
