Round 18

And we are getting closer to final of the season, this Sunday there was some interesting matches on the league, even thou the leadership didn’t change there were some promises that weren’t kept.

FC Portus Cale is getting the shift right at this point, after the manager announcing that he was about to leave the team, FC Portus Cale started to get some positive points. They played against O Garitinho C.F. and got a 0-0 draw in the end. FC Portus Cale started the match and soon moved up to its opponent net but didn’t create any real chances. O Garitinho C.F. tried to break the pressure but couldn’t pass the defensive line 3 of the opponent. At minute 38, O Garitinho C.F. had the 1st real chance to shoot but the keeper easily stopped it, 2 minutes later, O Garitinho C.F. tries another shoot from the little box but it ended up wide. 2nd half started the same way as the 1st, with the home team on the attack even thou just like on the 1st half, they didn’t present any real danger. In the end 0-0 is a fair result and the kudos goes to FC Portus Cale for playing eye to eye against O Garitinho C.F.

FC Estuera got another win and this time it was 14-0 against Sport Funchal e Benfica. Rene Higuita kept his net well secured and elevated the numbers of round without suffering a goal to 9.

Porto Eclipse did the unthinkable and stopped Mechanical Orange F.C. to get 3 points. Ptara Gomes, the best league scorer had envisioned before the match lots of goal but the truth is that no goals were scored on this game. The home team had a little more possession (52%) and controlled the match quite effectively. The game started with Porto Eclipse having the ball and trying to create a play, Mechanical Orange F.C. trusting on their attributes, whenever they got the ball immediately passed to Ptara Gomes who shot a lot from before the defensive line 3 of the opponent and the long balls to their strikers seemed not to be working for the team. Porto Eclipse kept their head cold and continued to make some play that could lead to advantage for them, on minute 20 27th Dealers shoots from inside the box but 'The Superman' Lima punched it away. After that Mechanical Orange F.C. tried to get near but any attempt of playing football seemed not be working so soon they got to their original idea and pass it to their man of goal who kept shooting from far without troubling anyone. On second half Telmo Alves gets a break away up front and he dribbles till the penalty spot and shots but the keeper avoid successfully the shot from getting in the net. On the second half the strategy changed and Mechanical Orange F.C. tried more to get near the net but they ended up squashing on the defensive wall.

The Crow Team lost on a match that many would consider on his level. The Crow Team is showing a lot of inconsistent during the season, getting some surprising wins and then losing when they should get 3 points with no problems. The match started with Blackout FC™ to keep the ball and “call” their opponent in order to them to make a mistake so they could attack but The Crow Team seemed to be on focus and didn’t fall on that trap. On minute 22 Blackout FC™ does an attack on the right side of the field, Dani Silva passed to the box for Radamel Falcao that shoots and has a luck felled from the sky as Ray Pollito punches the ball inside the net making an own goal.

Setemares not getting positive results lately, stopped the league leader Las Putas to win, 0-0 was the final score and maybe the turnaround point for the home team to get back on tracks. This draw doesn’t compromise Las Putas chance to get the title as the 2nd place also failed to win but this match should have given and advantage to Las Putas on the standing league. Anyway it leaves open to an interesting fight on the championship.

Itsagoal FC with no pressure had the chance to show off their scoring abilities and they completely overpowered Cravos de Prata by winning 14-0.
