[FC Estuera] Rene Higuiita unbeaten since round 9

FC Estuera is in a good momentum as they already have 5 wins in a row, but its keeper is on fire as to keeping the clean sheet. Since round 9 Rene Higuita is having a clean sheet permitting that his team get some important points.
We talked with the unbeatable keeper to know what’s on his mind about the performance so far and what lies ahead till the end of the season.

Another win for your team and it is now 5 in a row. What can you say about that?
I'm very happy to see that we're in great shape right now. We had a season with ups and downs, not always the luck on our side with the shots, but it seems like the luck finally turned. The victory against Mechanical Orange was a huge boost for our team, because we finally saw our work paid off. We wanted to shine against Mechanical Orange because we want to fight for a place in the top 3 with them next season, so it was an exam for us to see if we were ready for it or not. And it seems like we passed the exam. We'll have to keep improving to show we're able to play top 3 next seasons.

Since Round 9, no one scores you, are all CF's so predictable for you by now?
Our defenders are doing a fantastic job (the rest of the team too of course, you defend and attack as a team). It feels good to have such a great team in front of you as keeper, it motivates me to finish the work from the team and keep a clean sheet. Special thanks to our line caller who's doing a great job for the team (it's bad for his ego imp saying this but ok, I'll one say this once haha). We have some people with chemistry penalty in defense but they're doing a great job. Next season we should be able to play even better. So I'm surely looking forward to next season, and to the next matches of this season. We're now 2 points behind the 3rd ( Garitinho ) thanks to our victory against them, so everything is possible. Would be great to end 3rd, it will be a nice battle for the 3rd place. But I’m sure we're ready for it.

You've stopped the league best scorer to get another goal to his account that brings you more confidence on the net?
I try to get a clean sheet every match, because our defenders are doing a great job and as keeper I don't want to let the team down by conceding a goal. Ptara told me on chat before the match I was the only keeper he couldn't score against this season. So it was an extra motivation to keep my nets clean. The team did a great job against MO and our organization was perfect. Ptara fired two shots at me and I was able to save/punch them, so I was very happy with that. But winning is more important than match rating so I was over the moon when I saw the shot from Bruno flying in.

Until the end of season, who do you see with potential to beat you on goal?
It's hard to predict, we're playing Setemares on Wednesday and that's a very important match for us, if we win against them we're 4th. So I'll try to keep my nets clean and hope for the best. Portugal is a great and tight league so it's hard to predict matches; we’ll have to stay concentrated against every team, because every mistake in this league costs points. We have to play against Porto Eclipse, Crow Team and Blackout as well, and Blackout proves they are a great team against Setemares. So we're warned. We'll have to fight every match if we want to end in the top 3.

And who would you love to frustrate on that task?
A clean sheet against every team would be nice lol, it's important I keep the clean sheet on Wednesday because it's possible we'll end a place higher then. But we’ll have to keep delivering top performances, a draw or a lost match can push us back at the rankings again. We're in great shape right now so let's try to keep it like that.
