Racing Momentum from Belgium visited Portugal and went to O Garitinho C.F. stadium for qualifying round 2 of the Champions League.
The Portuguese team tried to take the control of the match but the away team was strong on keeping the ball away from their area even thou they had to use long balls for it.
Till the end of the 1st half no goals were scored and the second half started the same way as the 1st.
The defenders of both teams were there to solve any problem.
On minute 58 there is a try for goal from the left side with Gregory Jonay Ramírez high passing to the box for El Gavatxo Pauleta that shoots but misses the net.
With no constructive plays from both teams, the high passes continued and on minute 73 the Belgium SM dribbled and passed to center of area but O Garitinho C.F. cleared the ball very soon to outfield.
On minute 77 Erick Leónidas makes a bad high pass permitting that Allex Cantona Romanian CF for the Belgium team to intercept and shoot form distance, fortunately for the Portuguese team, the Keeper got in time to save the ball on the goal line.
In the end of the regular time it was 0-0.
The extra time also didn’t bring any changes to the score leaving everything for the Penalty’s kick.
On the penalties Erick Leónidas emerged as the hero of the match saving last two penalties shoots. The blocked shots were performed by Wouter Vermeire and Sammy Van Imschoot.
