[SFB] Tiago Madeira "play this game for about 2 years "

There is big uncertainty in POR1A about a team that is already 4 times National Champions.

The rumors say that the end of SFB is coming as a lot of players seem to be complaining and are starting to think on retirement.

Other teams sees this as beneficial cause now they’ll have more chances to be the champions, others feel sad that a team with History like Sport Funchal e Benfica has is coming to an end.

Centro Desportivo went to talk with Tiago Madeira, the man behind the History about this tumors and the future of the team.

Centro Desportivo - Tell us about the rumors of your players retiring....

Tiago Madeira - Well some of us are getting tired of the game and are thinking in retire when we get the 5th title in a row, let’s see if can get it, I hope so, it going to hard as never was but let’s try.

Centro Desportivo - You guys are veterans in FID and 4 times champions in a row, that isn’t enough to make you guys stay?

Tiago Madeira - Almost all of us play this game for about 2 years and it can become boring after a long time, one of our great objective is the 5th title in a row, that’s what motivate some of us to stay here even if we find the game a little more boring that in the start.

Centro Desportivo - Having the same men all this time led to this? Frustration of one contaminating the others…?

Tiago Madeira - Not at all, I bet that we are one of the teams with the best spirit and locker room in all fid.

Centro Desportivo - Can you tell us who is planning on end their career?

Tiago Madeira - That kind of thinks is up to each one

Centro Desportivo - You that are here a long time, explain us how was the ME on season 6?

Tiago Madeira - Well from what I remember the ME in season 6 was a little less explicit that now, there weren’t no stars so we don’t know how the action was and I think that, at least here, few people use dribble or at least not with the frequency that we see nowadays.

Centro Desportivo - What motivated you to play FID all this long?

Tiago Madeira - Mainly SFB and my team mates, if I don’t play in this team and with this people I guess I would have retired a long time ago.

About Tiago Madeira himself we found out that he is not planning or retiring and he is conscious that there will be needed some re-strustuction on the team if some players on the team do retire and he is down to earth on relation of that the level of competitiveness of the team will drop.

And still according to the talk we had with the manager during a training session of the team, IF there is a time that will be over for him at SFB will be just to preserve the team History and change to a new name or find someone capable to continue the legacy of Sport Funchal e Benfica.
