[FC Estuera] Tito Gladiador declares SFB dead

Tito Gladiador, Central defender of Sport Funchal e Benfica since season 6 got a new deal at FC Estuera and we went to talk with him about his past team and present team.

All revealed in this interview about SFB’s future and Estuera’s.

-We can officially say that SFB is dead?

SFB is dead! There is no return point to this situation. Most players wanted to be in another leagues or dedicating time to their families and jobs, and we can´t tell someone to forget his wife, or play having to be in another place.

Do you think that the manager should fought to rebuild the team?

Madeira had some work in this pre-season trying to evaluate if our team could play one more season, and win the 5th championship. He talked with every single player and everyone told him "let’s get one more title!" One week since that, 2 players totally disappeared from FID, and another week later, Fonte (great guy), decided that is personal life was more important than this. We hited rock bottom when in games against Garitinho, Estuera or Las Putas we couldn’t fill the gaps, and we had to play with bots. We, has a team (the best of all 1A Portugal time), decided that the end was the best decision possible, just because we don´t want to stole Portuguese players from other teams, neither being here wasting our precious time while were getting to the edge of decreasing attributes and the end of our careers.

Why Estuera as your next step?

Since SFB played against Estuera in season 7 (not sure) I start giving a special attention to that team. They seemed well organized, and their coach is one the best in FID. I’ve also a good relationship with him and with Higuita (Vermeire), so when I saw their interest in my character, I didn’t think twice, and I gave my word to Phil some minutes later, that 2 days from that, I would sign for them and that’s what happened.

Estuera had big issues on Scoring, now they signed the award winner assist maker Lambe Mos, what can you say about that?

Lambe Mos is one of the best midfielders in FID, despite his attributes, he has also intelligence when he chooses his actions, and he contributes for the rest of the team with his precise indications. I believe our forwards have the ability to score even more with Lambe Mos lethal assists.

 With all this new players coming to Estuera, can we say that it is the new best team in POR1A?

We are not the best team in Portugal. We didn´t reach anything till now. The best team is SFB (defending champions) but with the end of the team, I´ve to say that despite their unorthodox gameplay, Garitinho may probably be the best team, followed by Setemares and Mechanical. But I´ve to say that Estuera can use this season to scare big teams and make good performances, and get ready for fight for top spots (1º to 3º) next season.

- What are the main differences you see on Estuera compared to SFB as a team?

In gameplay there are some differences, that are created especially because SFB were more skilled than Estuera, but there are no huge gaps between them, especially in defense, where Estuera always proved to be good.

-And between managers?

I´ve never seen Madeira has a manager, he was more like a player that had the power to make subs and choose 11 guys to play, but in the end, we has a team always decided where to pass the ball or what was the best decision to take in every moment of the game. With Phil it’s a bit different, we follow his instructions and we try to play our best to make him happy. He has also great acknowledged of this game, which provide us good info to our decisions.

  

- Tell us a little about your life outside FID

Outside FID, I´m just a normal guy who studies in Oporto (Portugal) taking his graduation in Information Science, always missing classes and trying to hanging out with friends every time possible. Really addicted to sports, basketball and football on top.

- Who you admire in real Football?

In real football, I truly admire Pinto da Costa, chairman of FCPorto, the most prestigious Portuguese team that in the last 30 years is bringing success to Portugal. The players that I enjoy more to see are Ronaldo, Hulk, Carvalho (one of the best Portuguese CDs of all time) and off course João Moutinho and Xavi.

- And on FID?

In FID, I appreciate all my fellas from SFB, and in our league I enjoy to see David Gonçalves, Sena, Ptara, Higuita and I also have to mention Viv Anderson and Pepe Pinto that are doing a great season.

In general I like Defoe, Gripenman and Lecter also from Guinness.

- What do you expect form FIDA Portugal?

I’ve once participated in FIDA and I saw the effort we´ve done to create new things there (like bets or ttv lists) but I´ve also seen that with FID being a hobby to everyone, there is no responsibility when the project fails. Meanwhile 27th Dealers is trying again to succeed and I hope that he achieves what he wants to do.

To finish I would like to take this space to thank Dário(awesome GK), Madeira(great friend), PP(probably the best partner in central defense), Gonçalves, To Ze, Sequeiros, Steven(the troll), CDLC, Fonte, André(Gandhi), Lambe, Fonte, Dealers(Birdkiller) e Luis Miguel(CCleaner guy:P) for the great time I had in SFB, and in TeamSpeak. We became a family, arguing like brothers and sharing feelings like true friends do. There are moments that I´ll never forget, and that 1st title and the emotion we had there, it will always be a lifetime moment.
