[FC Estuera]Phil Weston “Until we find solutions for both positions”

On the 1st round Phil Weston’s team got an impressive start of the season. 3-0 against the promoted Blackout FC™.
Last season FC Estuera had a scoring issue and this start of the season points out that the problem may be solved, we talked with the manager to understand his thoughts on this win.

Centro Desportivo - Great start of the season?
Without a doubt a great start. 3 Goals and a clean sheet is a great way to start with. I think we played the perfect game yesterday (on Wednesday). Controlling the game and breaking out when needed.

CD - Max scored 3 goals. Scoring problem solved?
Unfortunately not. We are still in search of a great dribble CF. We were close to getting one a few times and the one time it looked like a done deal the player signed at one of our POR 1A opponents after I was not online for one day. That loss particular did hurt a lot since we know well enough how high the importance is to find that striker we need. A few days after Max contacted me telling he would give his char 3 months extra after all. It was a great Christmas gift for me and the team, since Max is currently our biggest striker; he has no chem penalty and the best stats of the strikers in the team. But his stay is only temporary and we are still in need of that certain type of CF. Scoring 3 goals in one game is great, but we know well enough that it doesn’t solve our original problem.

CD - What can we expect of Estuera this season?
Hard to say. I must say I’m hoping for that last stat redistribution to come soon, because we know that there lays the key to making this team more successful in case we wouldn’t be able to find our CF. Apart from that our SD RoD left us and that is a huge loss for us too. Not many people have noticed him last season it seems, but RoD was possibly the best SD of the league last season, a real stat monster and smart player. Until we find solutions for both positions I don’t want to claim any spot in the rankings, but I’m sure that we will be able to put up a good fight for the teams in the meanwhile.
On the training pitch my team is working well and we are all relaxed. If we do as well as last season I think we can be happy about that, but secretly we are hoping to get a better spot of course. We know what the average POR 1A player thinks of our team, but only our players know what we are really capable of.
I believe we are a big underdog this season and many players don’t see us ending top 6. It will allow us to work on the last details and the last transfers to make the whole Estuera-project complete. Being the underdog this season is a perfect situation for our team to be in. To be honest I actually love it.
