[FC Estuera] Phil Weston "I have a feeling we will win that game"

FC Estuera got their 1st win on the league this season. After the big surprise on losing in round one against Itsagoal FC and a dramatic lose on round 2 against O Garitinho C.F., Phil Weston’s boys got the first 3 points and in next round the challenge will continue.
On Sunday they received The Crow Team  and defeated them by 1-0. Rene Higuita was the Man of the Match and the goal was scored by the Irish man Jerry Atrick.

There was some relief amongst the players to finally have taken our first points. With the luck we had in the first matches you never knew what might have happened.” Started to say  Phil Weston manager of FC Estuera Higuita saved a penalty for us. In the end I think we took the points in the match where we deserved them the least of all. our Garitinho and IAG game were way belter in that aspect. There's still some work for us to do, in defense, midfield and attack, in the upcoming weeks, that's for sure.”
Round 1 and 2 loses for the Belgian manager was not a big surprise because due to defense problems that was totally expected.
Well Garitinho didn't really surprise us and we constantly had the feeling we could win the game, but the fact is that we just weren't good in defense during that game. Since Backhaus kind of went inactive we had to change line caller, new defenders came in... Of our current defense 3 players are new in the main 11.” Said Phil Weston It will take some time to fix and to get used to each other I guess. We pushed Garitinho back in second half but couldn't score anymore, the harm was already done.” Conclude his analysis on Round 2 match.
The Itsagoal-game was different, because i thought we were acting on a high level there. We knew IAG will try to hurt us on the wings, but we were missing 2 SD's and had to put an OOP CD there. We were hoping he could hold but it just didn’t work out. After that we switched sides with the SD's and it went way better. We had numerous shots but couldn't score that goal.. It was really frustrating.” Confess the Manager “My credits go to IAG though, even though i think we should’ve won the same game 9 times out of 10, IAG is a very good team.” Cudoes the manager to their opponent foreseeing the upcoming matches “They lack stats for now, but their SM's will hurt teams and they will keep on surprising.
After these words Phil Weston flashbacks a little “They somehow remind me of ourselves in our first season in Por 1a. We got third while having the lowest average TTV per player.” And delivers his sentence for ITG’s position on the end of the season “Now lots of things changed since, and i don’t think it’s possible for lower stetted teams to still reach 3rd position, but IAG will never go down this season. That just won't happen. I see them ending on 8th place.
After talking about the previous matches, Centro Desportivo wanted to know about the next one on Wednesday:
Centro Desportivo : Now that you finally conquered 3 points, what you expect to do on next match against MO?
Phil Weston : I expect us to finally show our real faces and just go for another win. I'm still 100% sure my team got stronger, especially experience-wise, and when it comes out and the pieces fall together I think we should be able to beat any top team. For now I’m just hoping on a solid and well organized game by us. I shouldn't say it out loud, but I have a feeling we will win that game.
