Itsagoal FC is a team that came from League 2 and it’s already making a sensation on League 1 as they are the leader on the standing position after defeating FC Estuera and Ataporquinhos.
Lots of people consider that their current position means nothing as we are only on the beginning of the championship and there is a lot of matches to go.
“BHF were too in the top of the last season in the beginning but they ended in the bottom” reminded Ptara Gomes the Central Forward of another promoted team to League1, Mechanical Orange F.C..
The Scottish defender Ross Tokely reacted immediately to Ptara Gomes words “That’s BHF, that WONT be us. We won’t fall apart when results go against.” And gave an insight about how the team spirit is “We are actually surprising ourselves. We thought we'd be lucky to get 6 points in the WHOLE SEASON so to get it from the first 2 games is fantastic.”
Adnan Hodzic side defender that played for BHFanaticos last season and now is on the squad of FC Portus Cale said “think that you are better than BHF? We thought same, that after beating Vitoria (di Garanhaes) and Estuera (...) it's just first few fixtures, you surprised some clubs (probably 2 of 4 worst clubs in league) we will see if you can keep in that rhythm in next few fixtures.”
Next round Itsagoal FC has a chance to prove himself against FC Portus Cale. The current goal scorer leader, Ste Ash with 3 goals said to Centro Desportivo “to be honest I’ve had a really good start in (league) 1a and i just want to try and keep it going and help the team to stay where we are”.
When we asked if he believed that his team could win FC Portus Cale, the 23 years old English CF said “I can’t see why not, we have a strong team and fear no one in 1A”
That's absolutely right...we fear no one. As far as being better than BHF, I can guarantee that you won't be interviewing our side defender who's playing for another club come early next season. I think that's the answer to that question right there.
