This Sunday we have a big game.
Sport Funchal e Benfica is the current National champions and they are 1 point away to get the 1st place on the league.
Setemares arrived to League 1 in season 5 and got 7th place. They lost on the 1st match against Sport Funchal e Benfica by 1-0. On second match that they both faced, the National Champion won 4-0.
On season 6 (second season for SeteMares on League 1) the league leader started with a draw of 1-1 against the National champions and got slaughtered in the second match of the season with 13-0.
“To be honest, that win was against bots, so isn't a fair comparison. There isn't a single player left here that was at the club at that time. We saw an dying club and have made it a force to be reckoned with.” Said manager Ian-Hugh Manatee about the 13-0. After this embarrassment, Setemares tried to redeem itself on season 7 but started the season by losing, this time by 4-0. In second game of the season they conquered a draw, 1-1. Last season Setemares started strong by winning 3-1 and on the second game they only lost 1-0.
“I expect a good hard game. Despite what the loudmouths at Fanaticos may tell you (see this article), we are a good team...perhaps we just raise our game against good opposition ;).”
Centro Desportivo - Since you are the manager of SeteMares you got 1 win, 1 draw and 2 loses against SFB. The win you got, is the only win of SeteMares career against SFB, can we expect that you are going to lose the 1st place?
Ian - Not at all, for those same reasons. The two wins they got against us were when our squad had a heavy Team Chemistry penalty. This season we are the team to beat, not them. First place in the table is ours and ours for a reason. If anyone wants it off us, then it's up to them to play better than us.
I don't doubt it will be a tough game, but I know my team is perfectly capable of seeing off any team in this league.
