On Saturday, Las Putas, 2 times Portuguese champions and currently on 2nd on the league with same points as the 1st, played against Le Club de la Baguette from France for the UFIC.
It was the semifinals and if the Portuguese League team win’s it, has a big chance to bring the trophy home!
The match started with the French club on attack and shooting as soon as they could, Las Putas seemed to be asleep on the start of the match as they were pretty much letting the opponent have all the fun.
After 20 minutes after the match started, Las Putas seemed to be waking up and Carlos Auditore was the responsible after dribbling a ball and shooting. From here till the end of 1st half things looked very even with both teams battling on the midfield.
“The first half we played so bad, we don't know how to do with the ball, our SM can't dribble” said the Spanish ACM Jaime Ague.
On second half and more precisely on minute 66, Jaime Ague shoots from line 2 outside the box to a perfect breaking goal. Giving his team the advantage on the start to dream for a final.
“When I took the ball and my partners told me that I should pass the ball, I knew that I have to shoot to score “said the Spanish ACM “My partner Corentins Martins doing a good job, because he did a movement that seems he was going to the ball” described Jaime Ague
On minute 81 and again from outside the box, Mauro Brihuega makes the 2-0 and puts Las Putas at ease and comfortable for the finals.
After this 2 goals from outside the box JA said “, in the first half the defense did a great job, but since my goal we could play better, because some of them left the match”
Your team is on the verge to win the Champion title and UFIC, do you think that you guys don’t get enough respect? Why?
Jaime Ague - It's true, I think the rests of the teams of Portugal don't see us as a challenge, I think in UFIC we are a hard team, which since 2 season ago make an excellent job in international cups, but in Portugal we don't play as well as we can. If in the rest of the league matches we play as UFIC matches, I'm sure we'll win both
