This article was originally intended to talk with the manager of the team, but as we all know, Jay Caulls is giving up FID so the questions were forwarded to assistant manager Massimo Lucchesi.
- Great draw on this Sunday. What can you say about the match?
We done well, kept them at bay but we struggled to really test their keeper so I guess a 0-0 is the fairest result.
- You've announced that your leaving the team, will it be on the end of the season?
Sadly the gaffer, Jay, has left. He is still in the background in case any contracts need signing. We are on the lookout for a new manager to come in and lead the team.
- The season isn't over yet but analyzing till today, FC Portus Cale didn't do well on the Standing League. Can you tell us why?
We haven't been scoring. I'm not blaming the forwards here, (or anyone else for that matter) as we haven't been attacking as a team to our full potential.
- When you arrived you definatly found problems on the team, what was fixed?
I'm afraid Jay would have to answer that one. We got the right man in. A Gay Dragon has the skills and is a very valuable user but he hasn’t had much in the way of luck up front. To be fair we haven’t always played to his strengths either.
- Who's going to replace you on the helm after you leave?
This is a good question. I will rule myself out straight away. I already manage elsewhere.
- What will be the future of FC Portus Cale?
At this time is is hard to tell. Given the right manager coming in, a few signings to cover those that are departing come the end of the season, then we should be fine.
