Round 14

FC Portus Cale does it again. After stopping the national champions on last round, the team led by the Northern Irish Lawrie Sanchez gets another draw, this time the victims were Setemares.

Mechanical Orange F.C. gets the 3^rd place alone in a game that didn’t go very well for the Orange boys; they won 1-0 against The Crow Team.

Itsagoal FC lost the path to victory completely as they struggle every match to not to lose, but they can’t do anything to avoid it and this round Las Putas scored 2 goals to them. The fans were chanting on the stands “It’s a Goal….. Against us… again”.

The National champion keeps going towards a new championship title as they defeated Ataporquinhos by 2-0 and it seems that FC Estuera pare starting to score some goals. It was only 1 but it gave 3 very important points, they played against Porto Eclipse.

O Garitinho C.F. still continues to pursue the 1^st place on the standing league as at same time they avoid losing the second place as they are only 1 point ahead of Mechanical Orange F.C. ebut next round on Sunday both teams have the chance to change things as they both will face each other on the battle of the 2^nd place!

FC Portus Cale did a great job on Round 13 when they stopped SFB and in this round they stopped yet another top Portuguese team, Setemares.

The away team dominated the 1^st half letting the home team get the pressure off only with counter attacks, but this counters never did anything specially because (and according to FC Portus Cale manager) the problem that the team has on the strikers effects on the final score.

“Expect some more 0-0 score lines until we sort out our attacking options” the manager said after drawing with National Champions on Round 13.

The current strikers also seems to agree with their manager

“We at Portus Cale have a system we're trying to and hopefully managing to build up - every player has his own job and assignment on the pitch. When we all do our jobs, the final result is the best possible play we can produce.

At the moment, we're missing a piece in that puzzle in the second striker role and that makes myself and the rest of the strikers a lot harder to work with. Once we complete it, i'm sure it's gonna make us much more efficient.” Said after the match Nebojsa Djekic, Sebian Central Forward of the home team.

The other Striker that played this match next to Nebojsa Djekic was the English man Gary Lineker and his view after the match coincide with his team mate “The problem seems to be that we don't win much ffb and don't have much look in shooting either. We sometimes realize that when we do win ffb's, our shooting is poor. So I’d just say we need a tower CF.”

On the second half of the match, FC Portus Cale managed to play more but the defenders of both teams solved all the problems. One thing is for sure, it is a great deal for FC Portus Cale to get a draw against Setemares but if they don’t solve their scoring problems, then it doesn’t worth drawing.
